# Brand Communication Guide

**2.6.1 · 2026-10-22 · Integrated revision preserving confirmed policies**

DIVEROID explains what customers can do and the value they gain in simple language. Write **WatchDive** as one word, with uppercase W and D. Universal Lite 2, Universal Pro Max and PRO CONTROLLER follow the same expression principles; customer context, product value and demonstrated results distinguish the products.

This guide defines expression, channel and asset-treatment standards. Writing examples are draft directions, not approval records for final campaign copy or individual assets. Verify product facts, prices, compatibility and launch status against current product information. This revision adds no approval stage: ordinary work within an existing approved scope may be published after normal checks.

## 1. Brand and product roles

| Area | WatchDive | Universal Pro family |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Customer context | Occasional divers who own a compatible watch and are weighing equipment choices | Divers who want to capture and keep moments from their dives |
| Starting point | Customer context or verified use value → housing role and purchase conditions | Actual product-captured results and user experience → product role |
| Product-page voice | Calm, specific, affirmative | Same standard |
| Social-ad voice | Memes, wordplay and conversational copy allowed | Same standard |
| Asset condition | The current landing hero uses a real underwater wrist-worn photo; no background or screen replacement | Content presented as captured with the product uses that product’s actual output |

The empathy-led story is the default for WatchDive’s first campaign. It is not a requirement to include every step in a feature explanation, short social ad or genuine time-limited promotion. Do not automatically extend social-humor permission or hero-image conditions to other products.

Retain the established tagline **Every dive maps the ocean.**, product promise **Complete your underwater experience.** and vision **Make the ocean digital and fun.** A tagline does not establish mapping, position-tracking, AI or environmental-benefit functionality. The following standard introductions reflect the owner’s choices and do not replace the existing slogans.

### Standard company introduction · lead with the vision

**Owner decisions 1-A · 2-C · 3-A, recorded 2026-10-02:** Explain the dive records and connected experience provided today. Treat dive-site discovery and deeper ocean understanding as the future direction. The standard company introduction follows vision → product role → the future of the data.

DIVEROID is building a future where every dive helps us better understand the ocean.

We turn familiar smartphones and smartwatches into tools for dive information, underwater photography, and dive logs.

Our vision is to connect these records into data that helps divers discover new dive sites and deepen our understanding of the ocean.

This introduction describes the portfolio collectively. WatchDive provides dive information on the wrist; Universal Pro Max brings dive information, underwater photography and logs to the smartphone. Do not translate it as a promise that each smartwatch also provides underwater photography. Dive-site discovery and ocean-data use remain a future vision. They do not establish a currently live mapping, recommendation, AI or environmental-benefit service.

### Standard product introductions · lead with the role

| Product | Standard Korean introduction | Standard English introduction |
| --- | --- | --- |
| WatchDive | 이미 가진 스마트워치를 다이빙컴퓨터로. | Turn the smartwatch you already wear into a dive computer. |
| Universal Pro Max | 다이빙 정보와 수중 촬영을, 내 스마트폰 하나로. | Dive information and underwater photography, all on your smartphone. |
| Universal Lite 2 | 바닷속 순간을, 내 스마트폰으로. | Capture underwater moments with your smartphone. |
| PRO CONTROLLER | 더 정교하게. 더 나답게. | More precision. More you. |

Use these role-led first lines as the default product introductions. Place accurate model compatibility, fit and app conditions in adjacent explanatory copy or a compatibility section. Every headline does not need to repeat those conditions, and a headline does not establish support for every device. For example, follow the WatchDive headline with “Use the WatchDive housing and DIVEROID app with a compatible smartwatch.” Verify actual model support in the latest product facts.

### Product expression by user sophistication

**Universal Lite 2 → WatchDive → Universal Pro Max → PRO CONTROLLER** expresses increasing depth of use and shooting control. Coordinate color, photography, voice and message order, from Lite’s easy enjoyment to Controller’s precision.

[PRODUCT_FAMILY_HIERARCHY](product-family-guide.json)

| Product | Audience and voice | Visual direction | Level of explanation |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Universal Lite 2 | Snorkelers who want to capture underwater moments with their smartphone. Bright, fresh and cheerful. | White and Foam surfaces with blue accents. Natural light and near-surface snorkeling scenes. Generous whitespace and short copy. | Lead with enjoyment and a simple use experience. |
| WatchDive | Divers who want a practical way to use a compatible smartwatch as dive equipment. Practical, approachable and clear. | White-led layouts with the sky-blue filled, black-outlined main logo. Real wrist-worn use and readable dive information. Clear, easy-to-scan composition. | Explain familiar-watch value and core functions simply. |
| Universal Pro Max | Divers who want dive information, underwater photography and logs in one experience. Calm, refined and focused on results. | Restrained Deep Violet and white contrast. Show genuine captured results prominently, then connect them to the functions. | Lead with the result, then explain the capture and logging experience. |
| PRO CONTROLLER | Advanced underwater photographers who want to fine-tune shooting settings. Restrained, precise and confident. | Ink and white with minimal decoration. Show the real Pro Max and Controller setup, controls and settings in a precise composition. | Lead with creative intent and control; explain shutter speed, ISO and white balance in the detail section. |

This progression does not rank safety, diving qualifications, water resistance or price. PRO CONTROLLER is an accessory used with Universal Pro Max. Marketing remains easy to understand for advanced products, with more depth in relevant detail sections. Use shared brand typefaces for ordinary text and each product’s registered outlines and spacing for its logo.

### Product wordmarks · production files and usage

**Revised 2026-10-21:** Outlined SVGs, transparent PNGs and two approved motions are available. **WatchDive uses sky-blue fill with a black outline as its main logo. Other products retain solid primaries; choose registered variations and motion for their intended uses.** Use the supplied product masters to preserve the same identity in every language and production environment.

| Product | Approved wordmark form |
| --- | --- |
| Universal Lite 2 | Upright Universal, flowing handwritten lite and a clearly legible generation number 2, set at about two-thirds of the Universal cap height. Light and fresh. |
| WatchDive | Rounded, bold **WatchDive.** with sky-blue fill, a black outline, circular period and D98 geometry. |
| Universal Pro Max | The existing calm, refined master is retained. |
| PRO CONTROLLER | Wide, heavy uppercase lettering with a consistent visual cap height. Precise and confident. |

**WatchDive optical balance · 2026-10-21.** Only D is uniformly scaled to 98% about its horizontal center and baseline. Its upper and lower contours are clean and continuous; all other glyphs and the final period retain their existing outlines. Apply the same correction to every solid, gradient and outline-only variant, transparent PNG and six-second shimmer export.

**Names and graphics.** In prose, write WatchDive, Universal Lite 2, Universal Pro Max and PRO CONTROLLER. The WatchDive period and lowercase handwritten lite belong to the graphic wordmarks. Universal Lite 2 and Universal Pro Max each use their own approved master.

### Logo motion · playback and downloads

[PRODUCT_MOTION_GALLERY](assets/product-wordmarks/manifest.json)

**Where to use motion.** Select the registered motions for product heroes, campaigns and introduction videos. The approved lite motion combines Deep Violet Universal and 2 with blue handwriting; its everyday primary is entirely blue. WatchDive. carries light inside the sky-blue letters and period while the black outline stays fixed, then returns to its main colors. Preserve the supplied stroke order, proportions, colors and timing.

On websites, use MP4 with playback controls and show the completed static logo when reduced motion is enabled. GIFs are available for channels that support looping animation. Use each product’s static main logo for navigation, documents and packaging.

| Product | Role and voice | Primary color | Standard headline |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Universal Lite 2 | A smartphone housing for snorkelers. Bright, fresh and cheerful. | #36A9E1 | Capture underwater moments with your smartphone. |
| WatchDive | A housing that turns a compatible smartwatch into a dive computer. Practical, approachable and clear. | #36A9E1 fill + #000000 outline | Turn the smartwatch you already wear into a dive computer. |
| Universal Pro Max | An all-in-one smartphone housing for dive information, underwater photography and dive logs. Calm, refined and focused on results. | #201748 | Dive information and underwater photography, all on your smartphone. |
| PRO CONTROLLER | A controller for fine-tuning underwater shooting with Universal Pro Max. Restrained, precise and confident. | #10212E | More precision. More you. |

**Color and background.** WatchDive’s main logo uses sky-blue #36A9E1 fill with a black #000000 outline. Preserve the native 8-unit stroke, round joins/caps and 16-unit artboard padding. Universal Lite 2 retains solid Surface Blue #36A9E1; Universal Pro Max retains solid Deep Violet #201748; PRO CONTROLLER retains solid Ink #10212E. Use the primary on quiet light backgrounds, white on dark backgrounds, and black for one-ink applications.

**Gradient variation.** All four products have a separate optional gradient for emphasis, such as a product hero or campaign key visual with ample space and a simple background. Use each product’s main logo for everyday identification in navigation, documents and packaging. The gradient spans the entire mark from left to right: 0% #201748 → 45% #3D2683 → 80% #1A668E → 100% #36A9E1. The main and registered variations use the approved glyph paths, spacing and proportions with their specified fill and stroke treatments.

[WATCHDIVE_PRIMARY_PREVIEW](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-primary.svg)

**WatchDive violet solid variation.** The former #3D2683 filled mark is preserved as an official single-color variation. Choose the [violet solid SVG](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-violet-solid.svg) for a restrained or single-color layout. The sky-blue/black logo remains the default identity.

**WatchDive outline-only variation.** This optional treatment gives spacious heroes, campaigns and large headings a lighter appearance. Use the purple #3D2683 stroke with transparent interiors on a quiet light background. Preserve the approved D98 geometry and final period, native 8-unit stroke, round joins and caps, and 16-unit artboard padding on every side. The recommended minimum width is **320 CSS px**, where the proportional stroke is approximately 1.2px. Scale the whole file proportionally, including the stroke. Use the main sky-blue/black logo for everyday identification and smaller placements.

[WATCHDIVE_OUTLINE_PREVIEW](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-outline.svg)

[Outline SVG](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-outline.svg) · [Transparent PNG 1200px](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-outline@1x.png) · [2400px](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-outline@2x.png) · [3600px](assets/product-wordmarks/watchdive-outline@3x.png)

**Size and clear space.** Minimum display widths: WatchDive 160px, Lite 2 220px, Pro Max 240px, PRO CONTROLLER 240px. Leave at least the height of a capital letter in that mark on every side. Unstroked filled variants use artboards fitted to the lettering; the WatchDive main and hollow-purple variants include 16 units of padding. Add the required clear space separately for both treatments. Recommended print widths are 30, 35, 35 and 35mm respectively. Confirm physical print and engraving with a proof for the actual material and process.

**Reproducible files.** SVG lettering is fully outlined and requires no font installation. Transparent sRGB PNGs are supplied at widths of 1200, 2400 and 3600px. The main, violet solid, gradient, white, deep-violet and black variants use the approved glyph paths and proportions. The WatchDive outline-only variant applies its registered stroke to the same D98 paths. The set contains 22 static SVGs, 66 transparent static PNGs, five existing motion files and two static motion posters. Place the supplied files directly; avoid retyping, AI regeneration, stretching, shadows, unregistered strokes or new colors. Existing DIVEROID parent-brand assets and pairing rules still apply.

**Product expression.** Lite 2 combines bright white/Foam backgrounds, blue accents and real snorkeling scenes for an approachable feeling. Pro Max emphasizes actual captured results and the connected experience. PRO CONTROLLER describes precise shooting controls used with Universal Pro Max. Feature explanations may introduce the confirmed shutter-speed, ISO and white-balance controls; detailed ranges and control mapping follow technical records. The DSLR analogy concerns the control experience; it does not establish equivalent image quality. English headlines for Lite 2 and PRO CONTROLLER are editorial translations of the selected Korean direction.

### Blue by default, yellow for the strongest focal points

**Owner decision, 2026-10-22:** Use **Surface Blue #36A9E1** as the default emphasis color. **Highlight Yellow #FFE55C**, drawn from the [DIVEROID media room](https://diveroid.ai/press/), is an optional accent reserved for the content that needs the strongest emphasis.

**When used, limit yellow to 1–2 focal spots across one complete page or one standalone content asset.** A long landing page has a maximum of two spots across all sections, not 1–2 per section. Use blue alone when exceptional emphasis is unnecessary.

[BRAND_HIGHLIGHT_PREVIEW](../rules/colors.html)

| Emphasis level | Application |
| --- | --- |
| Default · blue | Use Surface Blue for ordinary key copy, information labels and brief callouts |
| Strongest focal point · yellow | Reserve for 1–2 of the most important short phrases or small labels in the complete asset |
| Area and repetition | Keep yellow accents small; use the core palette for broad backgrounds and repeated cards or labels |

Use space and scale to establish hierarchy, and communicate importance through wording, placement and shape as well as color. Pair yellow with **Deep Violet #201748** or **Ink #10212E**, with contrast ratios of **13.00:1 / 12.99:1** respectively. White text provides only **1.26:1**, so use dark text. On light backgrounds, use yellow as a small highlight surface rather than lettering.

Standard buttons and links keep their existing violet roles. Use registered logos and gradients as supplied and preserve actual product imagery. Keep **Sun #F4B942 for warning states** and **Highlight Yellow #FFE55C for the strongest content focal points**.

Use `--dv-color-surface-blue` or `color.brand.diveroid.surfaceBlue` for default emphasis, and `--dv-color-highlight-yellow` or `color.brand.diveroid.highlightYellow` for optional exceptional emphasis. Follow the [color rules](../rules/en/colors.html) for the complete palette and pairings.

### WatchDive photos · launch criteria match confirmed

**Owner decision 5-A, recorded 2026-10-02:** The housing exterior and app screens in the existing Dropbox WatchDive shoot match the launch criteria. Record this as the owner’s confirmation for the representative question images **WD-PHOTO-01 · WD-PHOTO-02** and the existing shoot.

The exterior/screen launch match is confirmed. Exact hardware and app build numbers, source-file linkage and resolution, photography/person/public-use rights, intended placement and crop remain separate asset records. The launch-match confirmation does not establish those records automatically. If the shoot or launch exterior/app screen changes, recheck only the changed parts.

Keep the existing condition for the current WatchDive landing hero: use a real underwater wrist-worn photo, with no background or screen replacement. Describe pool images as pool scenes; do not infer ocean capture, customer endorsement or performance-test evidence.

## 2. Channels and launch stages

| Context | Level of detail and asset treatment |
| --- | --- |
| Evergreen product page | Lead with product role, experience and value; link detailed mechanisms to instructions |
| Both product families’ social ads | Memes and conversational copy may express the same value; shorten the default caption structure as needed |
| Genuine time-limited ad or banner | A verified offer may lead; decoration rules still apply |
| Actual-use or performance evidence | Natural treatment; composites do not create performance evidence |
| Mood-led ad or atmospheric product-page section | Natural background composites retaining the product are allowed with a notice |
| Feature explanation image | Actual app captures may replace screens; the screen notice may be omitted after actual-use equivalence is verified |
| Manuals, safety and support | State necessary timings, conditions, steps and limitations accurately; affirmative marketing does not remove material facts |
| Translation | Preserve meaning, claim scope, tone intensity and level of detail |

| Purpose or stage | What to explain | Example action and condition |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Product understanding | Housing role and practical value | Explore WatchDive — link to a real explanatory section |
| Kickstarter prelaunch | Planned campaign and launch updates | Get launch updates — when a real signup exists |
| Live Kickstarter campaign | Housing rewards, offers and estimated shipping conditions | Back WatchDive on Kickstarter — link to the actual live campaign |
| General retail | Current package, price, stock and shipping conditions | Shop WatchDive — when a real sales page exists |

The current Kickstarter offer is **WatchDive housing only**. App-only products using built-in depth sensors are outside this campaign’s offer. Distinguish campaign start from shipping and do not treat campaign scope as permanent brand-wide support. Check the actual stage immediately before publishing.

## 3. Eleven expression standards

### DV-BOUNDARY-01 · Respect customers’ equipment choices

**Standard:** Do not use price messaging that criticizes or pressures customers over their equipment choices. Explain the customer’s situation and the product’s benefits. Objective cost comparisons are allowed.

**Good writing direction · draft:** A dive computer that fits the way you dive—even if it is only now and then.

**Examples to revise**

- Buying an expensive dive computer is a waste of money.
- Do you really need to spend that much on a dive computer?
- Are you still buying expensive dive computers?

**Scope and exceptions:** Objective cost comparisons are allowed. Verify the comparison conditions and supporting evidence separately.

### DV-BOUNDARY-02 · Separate everyday product content from discount-led advertising

**Standard:** Discount-led layouts are allowed in ads and banners for genuine, time-limited promotions. Evergreen product pages and regular brand content must lead with the product and its value in use.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Evergreen page: real product-in-use imagery and value → explanation of the product’s role → confirmed promotional details. Time-limited ads and banners may lead with a confirmed offer.

**Examples to revise**

- Making the discount percentage more prominent than the product and its value in the opening section of an evergreen product page.
- Letting SALE dominate a regular brand post while making the product small.
- Using a time-limited discount ad as the default layout for evergreen product explanations.

**Scope and exceptions:** The exception applies to genuine, time-limited promotional ads and banners. It does not authorize new colors, typefaces, or motion.

### DV-BOUNDARY-03 · Keep other equipment logos in their natural context

**Standard:** Logos on other equipment may appear naturally in real use settings. Do not make them more prominent than the DIVEROID product or emphasize them in a way that suggests an official collaboration.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Keep the DIVEROID product and its use at the center of the composition. Let other equipment logos remain part of the surrounding context.

**Examples to revise**

- Placing another equipment logo large and centrally while the DIVEROID product is small or difficult to see.
- Enlarging or emphasizing another logo so it attracts attention before the DIVEROID product.
- Extracting another logo from a photo and placing it beside DIVEROID as a collaboration mark when no collaboration has been confirmed.

**Scope and exceptions:** Natural background visibility is allowed. This does not approve a specific photo composition or establish an official collaboration.

### DV-BOUNDARY-04 · Match color treatment to the purpose of the image

**Standard:** For product explanations and evidence of actual use, limit adjustments to natural exposure, white balance, and contrast corrections. Mood-led campaign ads may use atmospheric background color treatment while preserving the product’s actual color and screen information.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Use natural color corrections for product explanations. In mood-led ads, background color treatment is allowed while the actual product color remains intact.

**Examples to revise**

- Changing the water in a product explanation photo to an intense purple that differs from the actual setting.
- Dramatically grading a photo used as evidence of actual use, then presenting it as the original underwater appearance.
- Using color grading in a mood-led ad that changes the apparent product color or screen information.

**Scope and exceptions:** The permission to replace backgrounds in the background-compositing principle does not also permit excessive color treatment of product explanation photos.

### DV-BOUNDARY-05 · Make background composites look natural and disclose the treatment

**Standard:** AI-generated ocean backgrounds may be composited into mood-led ads and atmospheric sections of product pages while retaining the real wrist and product. The result must look natural, and a notice identifying the composited background must remain close to the image. Do not use these composites as evidence of actual use or in the opening section of the current WatchDive landing page.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Preserve the actual product shape and make the background lighting, color, and perspective fit naturally. Use the finished image only in the permitted contexts and include a background-compositing notice.

**Examples to revise**

- Using a composite with visibly disconnected wrist or product edges, or mismatched lighting and perspective.
- Presenting a composited ocean scene as an actual ocean photograph or evidence of product performance.
- Using a background composite in the current WatchDive landing page’s opening section, or applying the screen-disclosure exception to a background composite.

**Scope and exceptions:** The requirement that a composite must not look composited concerns visual quality; it does not remove the background notice. Plain-background product shots and explanatory diagrams were not covered by this decision.

### DV-BOUNDARY-06 · Distinguish screen replacement from the disclosure exception

**Standard:** Screen replacement is allowed in product explanation images and campaign ads using actual app captures for the supported model and release version. A compositing notice may be omitted when the content matches the screen during actual use. Do not apply this exception when that match has not been verified. Do not replace screens in actual-use evidence photos or the opening section of the current WatchDive landing page.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Use actual app captures for the relevant model and version in explanatory images. The screen notice may be omitted once the match with actual-use content is verified. If the background is also composited, its notice still applies.

**Examples to revise**

- Inventing numbers, alerts, or features on the screen.
- Assuming a replacement matches actual-use screen content and omitting the notice without checking.
- Presenting the brightness or sharpness of a composited screen as evidence of actual underwater legibility.

**Scope and exceptions:** Omitting the notice is optional, not mandatory. Unverified matches require further checking. Adding a notice does not authorize a screen that differs from actual-use content.

### DV-BOUNDARY-07 · Allow memes and conversational copy in both product families’ social ads

**Standard:** WatchDive and the Universal Pro family may both use wordplay, trending expressions, memes, and conversational copy in social ads. Product pages retain a calm tone.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Use calm, empathetic copy on product pages. Social ads may express the same product value through light wordplay or memes.

**Examples to revise**

- Transferring the meme style allowed in social ads into the standard explanatory voice of product pages.
- Using a joke to criticize or pressure customers who bought expensive equipment.
- Treating permission to use memes as permission to add stickers, lightning bolts, or glowing borders that explain nothing.

**Scope and exceptions:** Continue to apply the customer-choice and decoration principles. Do not extend the meme permission to channels beyond social ads.

### DV-BOUNDARY-08 · Do not add decoration that explains nothing

**Standard:** Build the design around photography, typography, and whitespace. Do not use stickers, lightning bolts, glowing borders, or similar decoration that does not explain the product or information.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Create emphasis through headline size, whitespace, product placement, and solid areas of brand color. Arrows or screen annotations that explain actual features may be used for that purpose.

**Examples to revise**

- Adding lightning bolts or stars around a product photo purely to attract attention, without explaining a feature.
- Adding a glowing product frame with no explanatory purpose.
- Adding unrelated sticker decorations because the ad promotes a time-limited discount.

**Scope and exceptions:** Discount-led layouts for genuine time-limited ads and banners remain allowed. This is not a blanket ban on functional explanatory elements. Motion was not newly defined by this decision about static decoration.

### DV-BOUNDARY-09 · Preserve meaning and tone across languages

**Standard:** Translations must retain the source’s core meaning and tone intensity. Word order and idiomatic phrasing may be adapted for naturalness, but translators must not independently turn the copy into more excited advertising language.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Preserve the core customer context and promise while using natural phrasing in the target language. If the source social ad uses humor, retain the intention and intensity of that humor.

**Examples to revise**

- Dropping the occasional-diver context in translation and replacing it with a generic adventure slogan.
- Adding trendy phrases or exclamations to turn a calm product explanation into excited ad copy.
- Adding a meme absent from the source simply because it is popular in a particular country.

**Scope and exceptions:** This rule does not make every piece of content calm. Humor allowed in social ads is translated according to its source. Do not add new features, prices, testimonials, or performance promises.

### DV-BOUNDARY-10 · Describe what customers can do and the value they gain

**Standard:** Lead with what customers can do, supported features, and the value they gain. Use affirmative sentences by default. Omit unnecessary negatives and descriptions of unsupported features. When a limitation adds no value to the marketing message, remove the sentence rather than expanding it into a positive-sounding explanation.

**Good writing direction · draft:** Mode introduction: Choose the mode that matches the way you dive. Housing battery benefit: WatchDive’s housing battery powers 500+ dives.

**Examples to revise**

- The mode cannot be changed during an active dive; choose a different mode after the session ends for your next dive.
- Photo–Depth Sync does not provide underwater GPS tracking. — an unnecessary limitation appended to a photo-feature introduction
- No separate dive computer. No charging routine. No subscription. — a benefit statement built from repeated negatives

**Scope and exceptions:** State facts needed for safe use, material compatibility, costs and purchase conditions, required disclosures, and direct questions about limitations. Use a negative sentence where needed for an accurate answer. Keep exceptions specific to their context rather than appending lists of unsupported features to promotional copy. Internal guide examples, technical specifications, and review records retain accurate facts.

Lead with the customer experience and value. The 500+ dives statement applies to the housing battery; it does not describe smartwatch battery life. Place the BLE low-power mechanism in technical explanations.

### DV-BOUNDARY-11 · Explain marketing features at an easy-to-understand level

**Standard:** Explain what customers can do and the value they gain in language they can understand quickly. Focus on simple actions and outcomes. Put exact button timings, screen conditions, state transitions, and sensor mechanisms in the user guide. Preserve factual accuracy while matching the depth of explanation to the purpose of the content.

**Good writing direction · draft:** During your dive, press and hold to open the compass, then briefly press the button to set a heading marker.

**Examples to revise**

- During your dive, press and hold for 1.5 seconds to switch between the main dive screen and the compass. In compass view, a short press sets a heading marker and replaces the previous marker.
- Explaining every pressure-sensor step that starts the dive screen after the housing closes in a marketing introduction.
- Adding 1.5-second timing, specific screen conditions, and previous-marker replacement behavior back into a simple feature introduction during translation or AI editing.

**Scope and exceptions:** Keep verified figures that communicate value or performance, such as 500+ dives, and material prices, compatibility conditions, and diving depth limits in the appropriate places. Include required timings, conditions, and steps in manuals, safety instructions, and FAQs or support answers that directly address operation. A marketing-page How It Works section presents the simple user journey and links to detailed instructions where needed.

## 4. Simple feature explanations and terminology

Customer-facing terms below are writing guidance, not an approved list of UI labels. Preserve actual on-screen wording after checking the capture’s model and version. Explain specialist terms at first use in marketing. Numeric depth values include m or ft.

| Concept | Customer-facing Korean | Customer-facing English | Technical explanation | Actual UI |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Product name | WatchDive | WatchDive | Same spelling | Protected name |
| Depth | 수심 | depth | depth | Check actual capture |
| NDL | 남은 무감압 시간 | remaining no-decompression time | no-decompression limit (NDL) | Check actual capture |
| Decompression | 감압 안내 | decompression guidance | Confirmed guidance and conditions | Check actual capture |
| Compass | 디지털 나침반 | digital compass | compass | Check actual capture |
| Heading marker | 방향 표시 | heading marker | heading marker | Check actual capture |
| Record | 다이빙 기록 | dive log | dive log / dive profile for the plotted profile | Korean baseline: 다이브 로그; retain actual capture |
| Included features | 하우징 구매 시 핵심 다이빙 기능 포함 | Core dive features are included with your WatchDive housing. | Actual usage terms | Not a UI label |
| Battery | WatchDive 하우징 배터리로 500회 이상 다이빙 | WatchDive’s housing battery powers 500+ dives. | Verified housing-battery test conditions; BLE mechanism in technical detail | Not a UI label |

### Match the explanation to its purpose

- **Draft feature introduction:** See your depth and remaining no-decompression time at a glance.
- **Simple use journey · owner-supplied example:** During your dive, press and hold to open the compass, then briefly press the button to set a heading marker.
- **Support answer about operation:** Include necessary hold timing, screen conditions and results from verified instructions. Copying only a marketing example must not remove needed conditions.

These pairs explain the existing safety-guarantee prohibition for specific features. Use alternatives only for products with confirmed compass or decompression functionality.

| Copy to revise | Draft alternative |
| --- | --- |
| Never get lost underwater. | Set a heading with the digital compass. |
| Ensures a safe ascent. | View decompression guidance on your wrist. |

### Preserve humor intention in translation

If the draft “Your everyday watch. A new dive buddy.” reads awkwardly as a literal translation, a proposed Korean alternative such as “매일 차던 워치, 이제 다이빙 메이트로.” may preserve its customer context and light intention. Return it as **proposed copy** for normal language and brand review. This is not final approved copy. Translators do not independently add a new regional meme, feature or price.

## 5. Work and review

1. Identify product, channel, purpose and launch stage. Distinguish actual-use evidence from mood imagery.
2. Read current expression rules, product facts, selected assets, market and language information together. Keep proposed OS versions in proposed status. Distinguish the selected WatchDive logo form/color from final production-file registration.
3. Lead with customer action and value. Omit unnecessary negatives; place essential purchase and use conditions accurately in the most relevant location.
4. Check the level of detail. Marketing uses simple actions and outcomes; manuals and direct operational questions include the necessary steps and conditions.
5. Review meaning, readability, conditions, rights and links in translated copy and finished layouts. Automated checks and AI self-assessment do not replace the relevant review record.
6. Apply the [existing publishing rules](../rules/en/publishing.html). New logos, changed safety/AI/compatibility claims and unresolved rights/privacy issues follow the existing review route. Ordinary work within an already approved scope needs normal checks and no extra jay reapproval.

**Information still needed:** minimum OS, model/size-specific fit and accessories, UI model/build/source records, housing-battery test conditions and evidence, market prices and shipping/launch status, public-asset rights/placement/crops, and final campaign copy and assets. The company introduction direction and standard copy now reflect the owner decisions recorded below. Return unresolved items internally; keep verification placeholders out of public materials.
