Print Rules
Quick Answer
- Color is proof-first. The Pantone/CMYK values in the archive table below are not verified, so do not enter them on a print order as final. Give the printer the HEX values (plus the archive values for reference) and confirm with a proof.
- A PDF saved from the browser with ⌘/Ctrl+P is RGB (screen color). Have the printer do the CMYK conversion with their output profile, then confirm the result with a proof.
- For logos, the Official Logo Gallery has 4 vector source files (.ai) and 8 PNGs. Send the .ai source to printers and vendors when you can. PNG also works as long as it is 300 dpi or more at the printed size.
- A finished business card template is available:
diveroid-business-card.html — change only name and contact, then ⌘/Ctrl+P → Save as PDF (enable "Background graphics" in print settings).
- Card dimensions: 85 × 55 mm trim, 3 mm bleed on all sides.
Print Colors — Archive Values and How to Verify Them (CMYK / Pantone)
⚠️ The Pantone/CMYK values below are from archive sources and have not been verified [verification needed]. They are not confirmed official print values. In particular, PANTONE 295C mapped to deep violet is a navy shade that may differ from the violet.
Proof-first procedure — in order:
- Send the printer the screen HEX values plus the archive values below for reference, and confirm the stock and press method (offset / digital).
- Ask the printer to convert to CMYK with their own output profile. We do not hand them a final CMYK build.
- Get a proof and check it physically. Where possible, compare it side by side with a real Pantone bridge book or a past printed piece.
- Use only what the proof confirms as the standard for that job. Do not calculate or invent new Pantone numbers or CMYK mixes.
- When a proof establishes confirmed values, tell jay so this table can be updated with verified numbers.
| Color | HEX (screen) | Pantone (archive, unverified) | CMYK (archive, unverified) |
|---|
| Deep Violet (Dive Deepblue) | #201748 | PANTONE 295c [verification needed] | C100 M100 Y20 K50 [verification needed] |
| Mid Violet (Dive Midviolet) | #3D2683 | PANTONE 2118c [verification needed] | C95 M100 Y0 K0 [verification needed] |
| Surface Blue (Dive Surfaceblue) | #36A9E1 | PANTONE 299c [verification needed] | C70 M15 Y0 K0 [verification needed] |
| Light Violet (Dive Lightviolet) | #67509C | PANTONE 2118c 75% [verification needed] | C71 M75 Y0 K0 [verification needed] |
The remaining colors (mark colors such as #863BFF, signal colors, grays) have no archive values at all. [verification needed]
They follow the same procedure — give the HEX value, let the printer convert, confirm with a proof.

Business Card
Template file: diveroid-business-card.html
diveroid-business-card.html — two-sided (KR/EN, with legal entity). Change only name and contact, then ⌘/Ctrl+P → Save as PDF. Enable "Background graphics" in print settings.
- The colors in that PDF are RGB (screen). When ordering, let the printer handle CMYK conversion and profile, and confirm with a proof.
- Legal entity: Korea = Oceanwick Inc. (오션윅 주식회사), UK = DIVEROID LTD. (included in the contact face footer automatically)
| Item | Value |
|---|
| Trim size | 85 × 55 mm |
| Bleed | 3 mm on all sides (file size 91 × 61 mm) |
| Safe margin | 5 mm inside trim — all text and logos within this area |
| Contact face wordmark width | 25–28 mm |
| Brand face wordmark width | 32–36 mm |
Three card principles:
- Contact face is quiet — light background, at least 60% of the surface empty.
- Brand face is solid deep violet background with a single white wordmark. No slogans or product copy.
- No slogans or product copy on any side of the card. Logo and contact information only.
Banners · Brochures · General
- Margins: leave at least one logo-height of space from edges. On narrow banners, at least half the logo height.
- Minimum logo size: wordmark width 25 mm or wider in print. For distant-viewing banners, much larger — use 40 mm per 1 m viewing distance as a guide.
- Solid backgrounds first: solid deep violet or white. Solid backgrounds minimize color-shift risk.
- Gradient proofing required: purple gradients tend to band in print. Always request a proof. If time is short, use a solid color.
- Logo files: white wordmark on dark backgrounds, color or black on light. The larger the print, the more the vector source (.ai) in the Logo Gallery is preferred. PNG is fine too as long as it reaches 300 dpi at print size — if it does not, reduce the size or switch to the .ai source.
- Single-color production (engraving, embroidery, stamps, single-ink): confirm the process with the vendor first, then hand over the supplied black or white asset (or its .ai source) as-is. The monotone asset is a grayscale image with several gray levels, so it does not suit single-color processes. Details in logo.md.
- Fonts: English Pangram Sans, Korean Spoqa Han Sans Neo. When sending files to a printer, outline (convert to paths) the fonts or embed them in the PDF. Details in typography.md.
Three Print Prohibitions
- Do not redraw, recolor, or stretch the logo — use the supplied originals (.ai or PNG) as-is.
- Do not put the unverified Pantone/CMYK values above on a print order as if final, and do not invent new Pantone numbers or CMYK mixes — only proof-confirmed values count.
- Do not print safety-guarantee or AI-judgment claims — printed materials cannot be recalled.
Questions? Ask jay. Three checks: (1) Making or altering the logo? (2) Claiming safety or AI ability? (3) Legal/licensing? — Any "yes" → verify before printing.
